Which Burner? TDK/Liteon/Yamaha
TDK veloCD 52x24x48 .... or LiteOn LTR-52327S
or Keep my old Yamaha 2200ez... All i do is back uop an opcassional game everynow and then and back up some of my retail programs... do either one of the top two burners have that capability? I currently have a Yamaha 2200ex, but it seems to be acting up. Plextor is to expensive..... so im thinking that LiteOn or TDK will be just as good as Plextor ??? Please help in the buying decision. Thanks in advance !!! |
Lite-On no question.

I personnaly have an IndiDVD from TDK and I had no problems with it. No matter which one you get, don't forget to go in the WWW and get the lastest firmware for your new drive.
Also, you might want to look at DVDRhelp for specs: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ Good burning |
ok ok ok
i got both... one for both computers... i got the TDK and the Liteon one was 29.99 (after rebate) and the other was 59.99 |
Excellent deal there SweetJones. So which is best for you?
Lite-On is a very popular brand and is very dependable/reliable. Personally I use Plextor Platnium. Very nice but pricy. |
TDK and Liteon
i havent hooked the Liteon up yet,
but the TDK velocd is lightning fast.. i am burning cd's in 2 minutes. It took my old Yamaha 5 1/2 Minutes on 16x and even longer on 20x...go figure I was a little dissapointed that the TDK and Liteon drives only came with Nero express. i will keep the TDK, as long as it can do what the Liteon can do.. i.e backing up my retail programs and games... CD media world seems to be slacking when it comes to updated reviews on what burners are leading the pack.. unless i am just missing it. |
