media determination
 

I would like to know how to determin what media i have... ie i see referance to some kind of number for each brand but where is it on the disk? or do you need a program to determin.

for example i have tdk made in tiwan but more then that i cant figure out.

are you asking what media to use for backup or just trying to figure out what you have?

what purpose do you use your media for?

Ritek is tops for game and dvd backups.

I am trying to find out how to
A) when i come across media in the store figure out where it came from (how did you know ricoh made it, tabel of brand, manufacture location = manufacturer? if so where is that)

b) what would be good for game backups and also movie dvd backups

I just found a program that works with the 411s dvd writer that allows me to find who likely made the disks but that wont help me untill after i bought some

also i see mention of reagon free yet i havent found where to get it
