Help read xbox extensions
I've been able to access the files on my XBox CStrike dvd, however I can't figure out how I could read them on my PC...
Here's what I have: .xbe .WSWad - this must be texture packages for maps, as they are .wad files on PC cstrike .ttf - font .uix - user interface related? .xpr .xsb - (in sound folder) .xwb - (in sound folder) .xmv - (video files) I'm new to the xbox dvd structure, so if there's a guide that explains what's what generally speaking, I'd appreciate if someone could point me there... Also, I don't see an .exe anywhere, so I assume xbox uses some other extension for that, maybe .xbe, since those are just a few files in the root directory... XBox Executable? |
yup you were rite xbox games do not contain .exe files there equivilant is the .xbe file as for the rest who cares as long as the game works.

Well i need to extract the contents of the files so I can use them with CStrike on the PC.. if anyone knows anything about xbox file libraries/compression methods, that would help. Also what exactly comprises the xbox dev kit? If anyone knows some app names that would be helpful in this, just names would help, i can find them.

Use them on the PC? So your basically trying to run the xbox game on your PC?
btw, those video and sound files..no tools were made for PC, so it won't work |
