X2 - The Threat. Can't create virtual image.
 

I have just got my copy of "X2 - The Threat", which is an Australia copy. The problem is, that it's protected with f***ing StarForce 3, which is all but impossible to play from a virtual image. :mad:

I hear that the North American version might not be using StarForce 3. So, if an American gamer has a copy of X2, could they scan their game disks and see what protection is used, I'd appreciate the info.

If the American version does not use StarForce, I might return my Australian copy and buy an American one.

Tried using Blindwrite 5.0.2, but still no good. :(

Not sure if it's worth getting a US copy and trying again. Any info will be greatly appreciated, on this topic.

When i scan us copy it gives me securom 5.00.03 :-(
someone told me deviance would be able to crackl this one in 5 minutes - well i hope they do soon :-)

Beware, one fake 1.1 no-cd patch seems to be in circulation (mainly in peer-to-peer networks) and it's infected with SubSeven virus.

Yeah Jaf79, heard the same thing myself. Pretty dangerous...

There is a mdf file (+mds +nfo) in p2p networks wich works 4 me i can play without crack now so it seems possible - had to burn it with alcohol - wich makes me wonder - course my alcohol copy diddnt work - thiers did - so seems like the new securom already got emulated somehow by altering the image or god knows how - just happy that it works :-)

First of all i DID buy the game even got it imported from usa!!! (arrived a good week ago)
i just wanted to tell someone there is possibility to copy - icouldnt copy mine myself so whats the matter with getting a iso? or tellin someone it works?

I'm too poor to buy any game, they're so expensive!!!
