Is it possible to replace the xbox dvd drive with any other normal pc dvd drive?

if you did put a normal dvd drive in, it wouldn't read xbox games

Then you couldnt even back up your games.

there is a samsung drive hack, but it will cost u more to buy than a replacement xbox drive.

Ya Quall is right. They cost just as much or more as a real Samsung XBox drive.
You can find people selling them on eBay off the time.
