Wont Boot

I read the sticky ... But ??

I have some Apple x v3 chips I’m trying to install in an X-box dated July 12th 2003 ( US Version )

All I’m getting is the Xbox tries to boot 3 times and then flashes red & green..

I verified all connections, tried 3 different chips, all with the same result..

Without the D0 connection, the Xbox boots just fine.

Should I be trying a different revision chip ??

Any idea`s ??

Some chips don't include any bios, i think yours does though. If you are sure every point is soldered correctly (each version of the xbox is soldered a lil different), then a bad chip can always be a possibility.

of course itll work fine without the d0 point
because, the d0 point disables the bios
and uses the one on ur chip
maybe u needa put a newer bios or A bios on it
yea
it could also be abad chip

generally the flashing means a bios error. Either it cant read one or its corrupt. If I was a bettin man I would gamble that you are not connecting the D0 properly even though it looks like it is. The chances of 3 bad chips are not too good so that kinda rules that out.

If you are absolutely, positively sure it's connecting the D0 good then you got a bad bios on the chip.

yea thats what im thinkin
it could be one of a couple possibilities
id go with clearin the bios for priority
and by the way
nice to see u resurface jivey 8)

I`m in the process of getting some newer chips, i`ll let you guys know if it fixed the problem or not, in the intermin, i`m goint to try and re-install the kit into a 1.1 X-box
