WAREZ ISN'T ALLOWED HERE !!!
TO INSTALL THE GAME - BUY THE GAME !!!

If you have the original cd, you can install the game from your original cd !!!

this isnīt a problem... itīs a copy protection.

A little correction: It's a piece-of-**** copy protection and another fine example how Jow00t tries to make their sofware "uncrackable" and totally screw their customers...if you can't play with your original, then return it to the store and -demand- your money back!!

@ cdkiller

itīs right the copy protection is the problem. any people have the same problem. and jowood does nothing!!!!

cdkiller 18-11-2003 03:25

problem is the whole setup.exe securomed.
i doubt jowood will produce the gothic2 series again without this protection...

JoWood really make me sick.
Chaser has been a catastophy with all its (useless) protections, as it was quite easy to make a working backup. As long you had the luck that the original was accepted by your comp....and only a few were lucky.
JoWood (as I heard) is almost bankrupt, but still they are spending money for protections, which prevents originals from running on their customers' machines....
I don't think, this will improve their financial situation....

JoWood really had some great games, but that is useless if most games do not run......

I returned this game and got my money back, but it was not easy to convince the shop-assistant.

But if customers do not act like this they can sell us every sh**. Do you buy a car that doesn 't even start? Although it looks terrific?

What a pity for this good looking game! No one can't play it.

You got my sympathy. But yes, returning it was about the only thing you could do. Maybe one of the newer Alcohol120% versions would work but they're blacklisting those in the newest protections too. I advise everyone with this problem to simply ask your money back and wait for it to be rereleased on budget. Most games on budget do not have a copy protection anymore. In any case if publishers succeed in preventing you from running the game, they should be rewarded by the consequences : lots of return. Maybe then they'll learn to treat their customers better.
