This chip might poss a threat to the DMS3 has all the same opitions and only 17 wires to solder and cost fraction ot the price.

New mod-chip for PAL PS2 consoles!
Thanks to our affiliate EvolutionMods.com for the news- Ripper 2 v2 (pictured below) supports all PAL PS2 consoles v3-9, with only a 17-wire install for v3-8, and an 18-wire install for v9. Other features include a 100% boot rate, Macrovision OFF, green screen FIX for watching DVD movies, and a few even cooler "ala DMS3" features including DVD all-region, and MP3/DIVX Player support!

Currently DMS3 doesn't offer a fully functioning v9 chip, and we're told when one is available it will only be detected by that system and still a whopping 23 wires. Best of all, Ripper 2 v2 is available at a fraction of the DMS3's price- more to come!
