Backup a Backup

Hi

Can anyone tell me how I can take a copy of a working Xbox backup. I have a Ricoh MP5125A DVD +R writer and I use Nero. Whenever I make a straight copy of the game on CD or DVD the xbox doesn't recognise it.

You will mostly have to put the back-up in your XBox, connect to it via FTP and copy all the files over to your PC, and burn them using a program called Record Now Max.

Thanks for the reply. I realised that you need to use EvoX to copy original games to the Xboxs HDD but I'm taking about games that have already been backed up and taking a copy of those. I know its possible to copy these using the PC but it just doesn't work for me.

Do you know how the copy was burned? If the people who made the copy ISOed it, then burned it, you will still need to use EvoX.

If he/she used Record Now Max than you would be able to do a 1:1 copy with a PC.

No sorry for the most I'm not sure, some I have I do know have been copied 1:1 but when I try with Nero the console doesn't recognise the disk.

So don't use Nero, it sucks any way. Use Record Now Max or some other DVD recording software.

Just out of curiosity what DVD-Rom do you have in your XBox?

fiNgA 09-11-2003 14:47

i have a samsung in mine so clippy's can only be as good as if not worse and mine wont take single use dvds from that burner, only rw, plays cd-r's but no +r's whatsoever

Ahhh okay
Samsung DVD-Roms will not read DVD+Rs, don't know about +RW

Not sure on the drive in the Xbox but I do know it reads DVD+R. I have some backups on +R already, its just ones I create myself that don't work. I've tried record now by the way.
