FileForums - anstoss 4 edition 03/04 workaround!

so... i have a way to get the game started

what u need: alcohol 120 %, anstoss 4 edition.img, .cue, .sub, .ccd

settings in alcohol
-use only one virtual drive with a high device letter, higher than the scsi device letters (like D or something)

- by the emulationoptions and the extra emulationoptions check everything

what to do
-mount the .ccd image with alcohol in the virtual drive
(right click in the main window -> add images -> select the anstoss4ed.ccd file, double click on the now shown image in the alcohol main window)
autostart should pop up.

-install it from this image (otherwise it wont work)

- now copy the setup file of anstoss 4 ed. mounted in the virtual drive
(right click on setup.exe -> copy)

- start anstoss 4 ed. from your startmenu

- wait until the cd check pop up

- now paste the setup file to you hard disk, the desktop for example
(right click on the desktop -> paste)

- the cd-check should get off without error message

- now you can cancel the copying of the setup

- the game should start

hints:
- don't shut down alcohol 120 %, only minimize it
- sometimes you have to try it a few times

einstellungen in alcohol
- benutzt nur ein virtuelles laufwerk mit einem möglichst hohen laufwerksbuchstaben, höher als die
scsi laufwerksbuchstaben (D zum Beispiel)
- aktiviert alles in den Optionen für Emulation und Extra Emulationen

was muss ich machen
- mounted das .ccd image mit alcohol im virtuellen laufwerk
(rechts klick ins alcohol hauptfenster -> image hinzufügen -> anstoss4ed.ccd auswählen, doppelklick auf das nun angezeigte image im hauptfenster)
- anstoss autostart sollte starten

- installiert das spiel jetzt unbedingt von diesem image (andererseits klappt es bei mir nicht)

- nun kopiert ihr die setup.exe aus dem virtuellen laufwerk
(arbeitsplatz -> virtuelles laufwerk auswählen -> rechtsklick auf setup.exe -> kopieren)

- anstoss4ed übers startmenü starten

- warte bis die cd abfrage startet

- jetzt schnell die setup datei kopieren, zum beispiel auf den desktop
(rechtsklick auf den desktop -> einfügen)

- die abfrage sollte verschwinden ohne fehlermeldung

- jetzt kannst du den kopiervorgang abbrechen

- das spiel sollte starten

hints:
- schließt alcohol 120% nicht, nur minimieren
- probiert es öfter, manchmal klappt es auf anhieb nicht, je schneller ihr seit, desto besser klappt es

if u do it how i explain it should work fine
it can also work with a burned cd, but check that u use the same drive for installing, copying the setup and for playing the game

its a ****ing methode but it works at my comp.... so waiting for the crack :)
