In Need of Help Booting R-Mod

Hey,

I have an R-Mod "No Solder" Mod Chip and am unable to boot up my back-up DVD's. I have tried both directions for using the R-mod and Game Shark 2, but am continuously unsuccessful and growing in frustration. When I swap the game and it should start up I get the red "please insert a PS2 game..." screen. Does this mean I have a bad burn or that I'm doing something wrong or my PS2 or Mod Chip is just crap or what? I have tried two of the games on a friend's modded PS2, I'm not sure which he has, but it's one that doesn't require a swap. But anyways, the games worked on his ps2, but won't on mine, which makes me think it's probably not that it's a bad burn, leaving only messed ps2, mod chip, or I'm doing something wrong. Anything that could be suggested to help would be very greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
Brandon

sorry, never thought to ask earlier, where can i get the magic swap discs? i'd prefer from a store if possible, i only saw them on modchip.com and that sorta stuff, but it's pretty expnesive and if i could get it in a store for about the same price i'd rather do that and avod shipping costs and the wait.
thanks again

I dont think they sell them in stores since its not "the code master disc for all your cheat needs!", but the "hey use this for your no-mod swap disc needs!". So I'm fairly sure online is your only option. :/ Or invest in a modchip - u wont regret it.
