xbox - FUBAR
 

I did the mod chip X-ecuter 2 pro - solder it myself. No issues. The xbox and mod worked perfect for about two months. Played games of the factory HD etc. Life was good.

Now when I turn on xbox - I hear a moter crank up (I suspect it is the HD) but then shut off. The light flashed yellow (not red) and green. The motor kicks on and off a few more times. But basicly the xbox is dead. The light keeps flashing green and yellow. I can't get it to even open up the CD tray.

It does this with mod chip turned off also.

I am about to crack open the box again and see if I can figure out wassup. However, if anybody has any pointers - please let me know.

That could be many things. Open it up (unplugged of coarse) and take out th epower supply. Look for any burnt marks, especially under it. If you see any, you power supply may just need a replacement. I know someone else with a simlar problem, but the tray ejected. If you can, barrow a power supply from a friend and stick it in your box. If it boots up fine, you know what the problem is.

The US xbox doesn't have a yellow light in it, so i have no idea what it could mean.

Is Canada's XBox different from the US's
 

I know if I don't plug in the video jack I will get a somewhat looking yellow light I think or at least I know sometime I had a flashing yellow maby when I don't know know I am confused LOL but I am pretty sure I have seen it more like yellowish green

We had this discussion a while ago. The us xbox, has 2 red/green color LED's in it. When they are both lit up it gives the orange appearance. Someone argued about this before, and from what I understand there are 2 xbox's in the uk. One with the normal red/green and one with a red/green/yellow. I don't believe that is true but I don't live in the UK, so im not one to deny it. Here is the old thread
