Easy-to-install mods
Does every psx stealth modchip need to be soldered? Nobody developed any special addon that makes it easier to install or anything like that? I think I remember hearing about some boards you can attach to the PSX board then plug the modchip into.

i remember there was a add on so you could use a plug in mod on the 9000 psx but you still needed to solder like 6 wires
|
Considering the modchips themselves are 7-8 wires, thats not very helpful

There used to be a plugmod that simply pluged into the back of the console. Sorry akuma, i dont know where to get one or if they even still are around. I havent dealt with PSX in some time. Best i can remember they didnt work to well.

I have one, it works great......... but has ONE problem
Although it CAN boot anti-mod games form my region, it cannot boto anti-mod games that are from a foreign region, which is my problem. I paid a lot to import DDR2nd Mix, an original copy, and it will not boot >.< |
There used to be a chip that only required 4 wires to solder. Actually they werent wires the were very long legs off the chip itself.
It was some sort of concept chip that was never released. I cant remember the name of it though. A friend of mine who also Moderated with me at ConsoleSource.com got one and tested it for them. I used to have pics of it but Im not sure if I still do. Ill see if I can scrape up any info on it. Tyler! |
