New version of PS2?
 

I just saw a PS2 with some info on the box that it plays DVD-RW, DVD-R and DVD+R. I think it is a 50001 model. Now I realize it is for the purpose of playing your home made DVDs, But it also implies it can play back-ups. No wonder they sell so many PS2s. Now if only Game Cube could play back-ups??????? Maybe it wouldn't only be $99

Well that is great news. Good way of posting to get the info I needed(LOL!) Is their a chance you guys could make me feel any stupider??? My buddy just up and bought one. Wanted the Resident Evil games so bad. Thanks for the info and making me feel less then a Console God!!!! HaHa!!
