hi iv got problems with my ps2 wen i go to load an original game it neva works the first time if i replaced the laser wud that solve the problem and also i can no longer boot copyed dvd games and it wont play sum ps2 backups is that the chip iv go tth neo 2.2 can n e 1 help tanx.

Your crap Neo chip has fried your laser. You can replace your laser, but it will just be fried as well unless you remove your garbage chip.

First try to clean the laser with a CD cleaner, if that dont help then the neo2 chip probably burned up the laser. I think kaneaction.com sells lasers depending on what version you have.One thing for sure, scrap the neo for a better chip!

also the swap trick where u hold the rest button i cant do that becuse the tray wont cum out like it sez but i used 2 y is that

Pin 4 monitors the reset button, pins 5, and 6 open and close the tray. Could be that a wire came loose or the chip is grounded but i doubt it. Also i wouldnt waste my time replacing the laser then rechipping it if its older than a v5. I would clean it up, get it loading originals fairly ok and sell it. Then buy a premodded unit or just get a new console along with a ApplePro or messiah 2, then find a installer.No use beating a dead horse!!
