Yes warlock is right only if its a mod protected game do you have to. But if you have a stealth modchip in your PSX you don't need to patch it then either. However some of the patches are pretty cool like the trainers. They are like adding a game shake with in that specific game..like cheats and what not. Or the old pal/ntsc patches.

yes well i just use a swap trick so i need to patch any game that has protection or it will not work. and i know about all them fun trianers got one for RE3 that gives me like 13 cheats

Yeah thats right . I forgot about the swap trick patches. Never needed to use them. Always have had mod chips.
