Hitman 2 crack/nocd problems...
 

I have an odd problem. A while ago I could seemingly play Hitman 2 perfectly fine, I uninstalled it and just came back to it a few days ago where I find I can no longer get it to work. I've tried every crack and nocd I could find to no avail, it won't work. First it would just just flicker black then crash to the desktop but I found a 1.01 crack that lets me see and play the game just fine but the sound is completely non existent. It doesn't play at all at the intro, startup, anything. Usually cracks/and nocds don't effect the sound but something is clearly wrong here and I've been looking for an answer. Anyone have any prior experience or can help? Thanks a lot.

Okay, you haven't written if you have update the game to 1.01 and then you haven write if it's do the same if you use the original CD.

Can be a direct x problem. So update that also to 9.0b
Update you soundcard and at least update hte game becuase it's soundbug in 1.00 ;)

See that's the thing, if I update to 1.01 the crack I have that let's me do everything but have sound doesn't work at all. It works like all the others with a flicker then a crash. I've updated the drivers for my video card, and my DX9b so that's not a problem. Also the backup is the only source for me to have the game. The original was scratched a while ago and ceases to install beyond 20%. But it worked the first time I played it a long time ago as did my backup. I'll look into the sound card drivers but I doubt that's the problem.

well you haven't updated you Hitman 2 to the 1.01 version... and you even might have 1.02 version if you bought the game in the later time....

I have updated to 1.01 and all the cracks/nocds for that particular update aren't working for me either. As for the 1.02 I know I definently don't have that one... hell I haven't even seen that patch around anywhere.

Doesnt 1.02 just remove some missions because of muslim influence?

I personally don't know but if it does that is probably one of the dumbest things to even spend your time "patching" much less do at all. Anyhow, I got my Geforce 4 out of this computer and threw it in my backup one with Windows 98 and the damned game works like a charm. It doesn't even need a crack or nocd or anything, just install the backup and go, it's insane. I have no clue what's wrong with this one (with winXP). I may have to reformat or something.

No prob, I'm surprised Krondike didnt get all over your case before I did about not searching.

Searching will usually get you help faster than anything else.

Well for the first question, dosen't version 1.02 remove missions.

Nope, 1.02 isn't a public patch. It's a bundle to a later version of Hitman 2, that's mean it's only RETAIL. And that version of the retail of the game, in did delete missions.

To the other search button thing, I realy forgott to recomend search button, but it was over 6 or 7 month, the game was "new" and people talk about it. I in did forgott the search button, but I belived that topic threads that's was to old, was deleted. but my bad! :o

Well since you already tried updating Hitman 2, updated your sound drivers, and disabled EAX; you're out luck.
