Bewildering CloneDVD error

Okay, maybe someone can tell me what is going on. I started Clone DVD and selected the VIDEO_TS directory. This is what I got in response:

Clone DVD 1.3.9.8 error message:

Quote:

Unable to open video files
Error opening video files from
D:\VIDEO_TS
DVDManager 5 1 IFOFormat 15
[Okay]
My D: drive is a PHILIPS DVD+RW-D28 that came packaged with my Dell Dimension 8200. I have had no driver issues to date, and the particular DVD runs fine off of this drive through PowerDVD 4.0.11 and on my stand alone DVD player. I am also running AnyDVD 2.0.0.4.

What I know about the disk. This disc is not proprietary and was made by a local church. Therefore I should have no issues with protection schemes. The Disk only contains a VIDEO_TS folder, and that contains the following files:

VIDEO_TS.BUP 12 KB
VIDEO_TS.IFO 12 KB
VIDEO_TS.VOB 36 KB
VTS_01_0.BUP 78 KB
VTS_01_0.IFO 78 KB
VTS_01_1.VOB 1,048,018 KB
VTS_01_2.VOB 1,048,018 KB
VTS_01_3.VOB 1,048,018 KB
VTS_01_4.VOB 1,048,018 KB
VTS_01_5.VOB 11,746 KB

SmartRipper had no problem whatsoever with the disk under the same conditions.

Could someone please help explain.

Maybe you should try and extract the images to your hdd first. Use DVDecypter or just install AnyDVD and drag them over.

Sorry about my slow reply. I have already tried that, with no change when I get around to trying to burn. I suspect it is something in the formatting due to the "IFOFormat 15" part of the message (which is the same reguardless of where I try to burn from).

Try NERO EXPRESS, I had the same problem and I managed to copy entire DVD disc through Nero.

Clone DVD is a lame and poorly designed program that fails nine times out of ten.

Also try DVD XCopy Express.

 ;)

Yes I am sure of that, Clone DVD is one program that should be called a DVD Ripper as it rips ok but wont burn 100%

Ahhh, I never use it to burn. I always use Record Now Max.

Tyler!
