Noob asks about patching
 

I'm still kinda fresh off the boat, and i don't get "why" you need to use a NTSC patch for PAL games. What does the patch do anyways? :confused: :confused:

You only need to patch if your tv doesn't support the format of your game. If you have an ntsc tv and a pal game, you need a pal to ntsc patch. Or vice versa. This will fix the black and white and or rolling screen you get.

wait wait wait.... "thinks" so if my screen isn't centered, and it doesn't have colour, i "dont" need the patch??

If you like playing in black and white with a screwed up screen, no you don't have to.

oh man i'm going to shoot myself for doing what i did... i played "it" on my very crappy tv and it messed up, and then i burned another copy with the patch and threw the one without the patch away. I am such an idiot.

To save me a lot of time... is there a way to "unpatch" a patch ?

Yes, most patches are undo-able. Just check undo in PPF-O-Matic.

Ok ANOTHER thingie... I just tried Time Crisis 3 without using the patch to make it a NTSC. When i justed used PFF-O-Matic to unpatch the patch to make it a NTSC, and tried it on my good TV, It's still the same results, black and white screen that's not centered. What have I done wrong?

OkOk my bad there, just a bit rushed.

I burned Time Crisis 3 as a PAL, using PFT-o-matic to unpatch the NTSC.

When i tried to play, the screen was black and white.
What's up with that?

Are you using a NTSC or PAL system and or tv?

Whatever region your system/tv are then you have to make your games that same region.

like NTSC ps2 needs an NTSC game. So if the games not NTSC already then patch it to be so. If it is then just burn as normal and play.
