hi. ive just read the stickeys about the xbox mods and such. currently, i do not have an xbox modchip. i heard that the X-ecuter 2 pro was good for what it does, and ive seen a 2.2 or the same chip. what i was wondering, is it possible to connect to my xbox thru the ethernet cable without having a chip installed to copy my music saves and other stuff, and if it was, how would i do it? i really appreciate any help here. thanks in advance.

i thought of something different. if i were to boot up the xbox, then unplug the dvd rom drive on it, then plug it into my pc, then turn on and boot up my pc, would i be able to view the contents of the xbox dvd drive? just wondering it that were possible and if it was safe or not. thanks.

i just looked at the li-sang web site. the mega x key looks like an easy install. will that let me be able to play copied games as well, or will i need to get a modchip to be able to play those games. also, that was a good post on the chipless mod. and will i be able to make isos of the game in the drive from the x key?

mega-x-key is just a memory card, that can transfr the gamesaves to and from the PC. This is what people use to get the hacked gamesaves on the xbox (or , just load off the save off the memcard). If you don't know anyone with a chip, then yo will need that or AR to do the softmod.
