mame on ps2
 

I need help with mame on ps2. I got it to copy on a cdr, the ps2 logo appears then a black screen with a blue border then it locks up from there. Can someone guide me through this process.

I never said I could help u out. I said that I have a working ps2 mame CD ( 5 of them actually).

I'll zip em all up 2nite an upload to ftp an put a link here so that anyone can download the cd images. They not that big ( about 25MB each unzipped).

As for why urs don't work I don't know.

I do know that if u r using PS2CDGen to make the image u need to run the image through CDMage afterwards and repair the sectors and sector fields afterwards.

Then use Nero to burn the Image. Alcohol120% doesn't seem to be very good at burnin cue and bins that PS2CDGen makes.

If u doin all this an it still not workin then I suggest u download cd from me an take a look at how thats built. It should be a relatively easy process to extract the files from one of my cd's and change the roms in it.

How do I use CDmage? Can I burn the cd using nero express.

Follow the tutorial and burn with Nero and you are set.

how do I burn it with nero. Do I load the .bin file or .cue or both?

Use CDRWin to burn the .bin file or DiscJuggler or Alcohol120%.

I just said not to use those progs as I have had trouble wiv em burnin PS2CDgen Cue and bin images.

Use Nero, Go to open, change file type to cue file and load the .cue up.

Then burn away

But first run the image through CDMage. Scan for corruption and repair the 16 sectors that come up. Then rebuild the 16 sector fields. Then burn the image using NERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
