GS v1.3 swap question
 

Does Game Shark v1.3 swap trick still works for new(year2003) PS2 back ups? Ive tried loading Soul Cal2 with no luck and 4 coasters. Thx in advance.

what version ps2 u have cause i got sc2 working on swap magic useing a cdloader which dose the same as a gs2 it uses another cd's toc to load that game so i belive it should also work with the gs2 r u useing a no solder mod?

im not using any mods, (i use knife method where you make you tray eject with a plastic knife) my ps2 is first version, sph3000 or something, and v1.3 gs. I stopped playing my PS2 a year ago, all back ups that i had worked fine with knife method. I just came back to PS2 scene and so far i got soul cal 2 (not loading) and Armored core3 which hangs on mission load screens, made 3 coasters of that too.

u can buy a no solder chip for 15$ sence u alrdy got the gs2 thats better then doing the kinfe tirck that will probly tear ur ps2 up in time if u got a 35001 ps2 its a 4 if its a 30001 R then its a v5-v6 all 3 version has no solders relly cheap like 10$ or 15$ and very easy to install or u could get a solder chip but if i was u i would buy a newer unit sence u did the knife trick alot it might crap out on u aftr u get the chip installed then u would be out of alot of cash unless u did the install ur self but any thing is better then the kinfe trick thats the worse fourm of playing backups

i dont think its a v1 system first version ps2 i dont even think they can load dvd-rs i heard they had relly bad lasers

I'm using knife trick too and sool calibur 2 work fine. But i have a european ps2. And the game is patched. So i can't tell u why that doesn't work with u.
