Hey,

i use ulead dvd movie factory 2 to make my dvd backups ie mpg to dvd but this process take 10 to 11 hours. I am wondering if this is correct but its to darn slow is there another programto use instead

It only takes me an hour to convert then another half hour to burn.

How fast a system you have?

Are you using this program to convert a non DVD ready mpeg or other file? Or have you already used a program like TMPEG to convert it first?

I have the following specs

1.5 intel p4 processor
dl845 motherboard
40 gig ultra dma hd
384 mb sdram
32mb nividia riva tnt2 64
Pioneer 106d
samsung dvd rom (nearly dead)


Some of my films are already mpegs but most of them are .avi and i dont convert them

Ooooh ok. If your not converting them before you add them to ulead dvd movie factory 2 then thats why it takes so long. Encoding is a lengthy process. If they were already encoded to a dvd spec'ed mpeg2 then it would take as long as I have stated above.
