Mod Chip installs in Toronto.
Ok, I bought a Magic 3.1 and have a V2 PS2 but I can't get that thing in so is there anyone in Toronto that can do the install and would want a few bucks?
|
You do know there is a very good chance you will have problems playing dvd backups right? V2s suck. Anyways, try emailing nicezine21 of ps2newz at [email protected]. He is in Toronto.

I hope he convinces him to buy a newer ps2.

I wish I could afford a new PS2. :(
|
You could, if you sold yours on EBAY and scraped up a few more bucks. Otherwise your gonna have a modded ps2 that will probably only work for a few months. Heck the dvd part may never work.
Try putting a dvd-r backup movie in it now. See how it plays before investing $$ on that old ps2. Tyler! |
How much would it cost to have the chip installed? I already bought the chip so I doubt it would cost too much. If I end up buying a new PS2 later I would be able to just take out the chip and put it in the new one.
|
Installs are usually around $40-$60 depends on where you get it done and who you trust with your machine.
The reason why I say sell your v1 now is because at the moment your v1 still has "ebay value" because it works. If you install a modchip on it and use it till it burns out. Then you have a broken ps2 which wont sell for as much. You can almost make your money back on a working ps2. Tyler! |
Installation can be the most expensive part. It will generally run you $40-$60US, so putting the chip in your v1 to then swap it out to put in a new ps2 is not a good idea. Sell it. I sold my v1 on ebay so I could buy a nice new v7.:)
|
You guys may be right. Heck, people will even pay $60 for a broken PS2 so I may as well try. If I sell a couple of games with it I could get as much as $200. Then I just have to pay a few more bucks to get a new V7.
I can't belive what people will pay for a used PS2!!!!! |
FINALLY! :p
Listen to your mods and youll be all set people. BTW a new ps2 in the US costs $179. Tyler! |
