Invariable read speeds in XP??
 

H'llo,
I've tried a few audio ripper apps (Nero,CD-DAE99), but the read speed always goes to default, even when I select 2x or any other speed. It just ignores the setting. I use two different burners, and the same occurs on both burners in all applications. I'm using XP Pro, and I'm thinking there's a windows setting SOMEWHERE...
Any ideas?

not all burners support all different read speeds? just guessing, too lazy to check around. its not a windows thing, though ;)
