Over 48 hours without power, this is awful and there's no eta on when I will be back on.

Your kidding right? A tornado on the island??? :eek: I had no idea they would do that or even be that far north.

Holy crap I never ever want to have to go without power again for 72 hours I almost lost my mind!!!!

Not to mention half my flipping roof is missing. Actually we only got the tail end of that tornado man I would hate to be in the center of one.

No power for three days? That sucks. I was in a hurricane years ago and we didn't have power for a few days.

And ya the table got finished. It looked really nice when it was all nice. We derived it to the ower and he was vary happy about the way it turned out.

I'm now busy working on the truck for the trip back to the west cost. Changed the oil, new air cleaner, PCV, brake pads and rotors (the rotors were shot after 230,000 miles on them) and wire in a converter so I can pull a trailer and have all my lights :rolleyes: LOL.

I'm leaving here late Friday or early Saturday morning. Headed to Iowa to see some family, down to Colorado to see my mom and step dad, then up to Washington state and over to Orcas Island to see my Aunt and Uncle, down to Oregon to see my little sister and to California to see my great grand parents, maybe stopping in Las Vegas on the way home to see another Aunt and Uncle than back home to No-Where Arizona. Its going to be a LONG trip home. :cool:

That sounds like quite a tour. If you're going to be in eastern Iowa I'll be happy to buy you a beer or 6.

LOL, I would be more than happy to have a beer with ya, but theres only one little prob. Last time I looked in the USA you have to be 21. Sadly :rolleyes: I'm not.

WTF is up with that? I mean I can go out and get married, buy a house, go die for the USA but I can't go to the bar and have a beer with friends? Canada looks really great. :D

Well in Manitoba the drinking age is actually only 18 when I was that age ohhh about 13 years ago I lived in Thunder Bay Ontario and on Weekends we would all pile in a car and go to Winnipeg Manitoba and PARTY!!!! we would rent a room and just giver ahh the glory of youth.

Well I am happy to say we are back to about 95% pre storm condition. I had to re roof my porch which was not even close to being as difficult as I thought.

All though the following Saturday I ended up writing off my car and a truck in an auto accident, I deciced to pass on a solid line and to my suprise the guy turned left right in front of me. So now I am in the process of putting that engine into another car. God if it wasn't for BAD luck I would have No luck.

let me guess - it was an old man in a fishing hat that turned without signaling after doing half the speed limit for 5 miles?! :p

Actually he was my neighbour and my mechanic. And he was actually very decent about the whole deal no sudden neck tramau anyways.

All in all could have been alot worse. I will say this the Ford Tempo handled the accident better than the Chevy S10 did!!
