question on swap modchips and compatibility.

So let me get this straight, modchips that use a swap disk(swap magic 2.0,ar2,gameshark etc.)wont be able too
play dvd-rips(extracted items off a dvd game too fit a cd-r).but a swap modchip will play a original dvd copy(dvd-r)
perfectlly useing a swap magic disk 2.0 ect?.Untill swap magic 3.0 comes out you will not no shape or form get a dvd-rip
too work with a swap modchip(no-solder)? be cuz I tried,I have a no solder modchip and a magic disk and I cant run dvd-rips and I cant test the
ability too run dvd-r copys of a game cuz I dont have a dvd writer yet.

Im just trying too get some take ways from this forum and my experince with my modchip as well.the way I see it I should get a dvd
writer and make full copys of games(dvd-r) and forget about rips becuz 3.0 will be the only way too get a dvd-rip too work(on a no solder) and who
knows when it will come out.

Someone who knows there stuff about no-solder and dvd-rips/dvd copys
etc. shed some light on me.

yeah ur best bet is to buy a dvd writer they r great and the prices r great now i got 2 dvd burners :) first one costed me 200$ shiped then i bought the same one again about 1 month ago for only 120$ shiped and they both work great and best thing is u get the full game and its very ez to copy dvds only thing is theres some games that wont work with swap magic but if u got a v6 system there a cd loader that will allow these games to work but only works on 6 and lower v7 unit knows just like it knows when useing a gameshark2 to load the games but u can ask BIGHAP for a good burner prices he knows were to get them pretty cheap new i got mine off ebay used :)

Another thing is that dvd rips are slowly dying out.....(and so are swap chips, since no-swap chips are so cheap now)

The games are getting bigger, and it is getting much more difficult to put 4.37gb on a 700mb cd-r....

And dvd burners have came WAY down in price......

Also, even if you get a dvd burner you still cant make a 1:1 copy of ALL games....

Cause now we have dvd-9 games, which cannot be backed up on a dvd-r because they are over the 4.37gb size.....

Its a never ending battle..... They come out with something, we come out with a way to defeat it......

Technology.....GOT TO LOVE IT! :)
