Alcohol 120% and mafia backup
i have just bought alcohol 120% and i want to make a backup cd of my mafia game. i tried copying the cd but i only get a "disc read error" what should i do, cant mafia be copied with alcohol:(
As far as I remember has Mafia the protection SafeDisc. Switch Alcohol 120 % to this protection and reading errors are fully normal at the beginning.
when you say that i should switch it to the safe disk function, do i have to do that before i copy the game? or is it something that alcohol 120% disables when you want to play the game?
As first. First read it with SafeDisc 2.5 or higher and then burn it with the same config.
where do you get safe disk 2.5? is it an option that you have on alcohol 120%, if it is where is it. i can only see this "bad sectors emulation" witch only mentions safe disk and safe disk 2
There is a drop-down-menu where you can choose one of the protection profiles before starting the read-/write process. So you don't have to set any option by your own.
where is the drop down menu, is it supposed to be when you press copy cd and the new screen comes up
In this window down on the left. Maybe it says customize or so.
in the bottom left i hav "general, recording, virrual drive, emulation" if i click on emulation i get this menu with three things on it. and this is where it says "rmps" "bad sectors emulation" "sub channel data fixed & emulation" "laserlock emulation"
Click on "Copy Wizard". Choose the correct cd-drive.
Down to the left there's roll-down menu called "Datatype" Pick "Safedisc2" use the image burning wizard and pick the same profile. |
i do that, but the only datatype i have is "customise"
Then tick for "skip reading errors" and "fast skip error blocks" and
"bypass EFM errors" when burning |
what writing method should i use, "raw/ dao" or dao/sao"
fity-fifty joker. I think there is no great difference.
And before you ask for the speed of reading and burning. Slow increases the chance of a good copy. But that depends on your burner. |
thanx
btw: i wasnt going to ask for the speed but thanx anyways |
