Broken???
 

Hey i had a magic 3 in my ps2. It worked prefect for awhile but then i took the ps2 apart for some reason? and now the tray wont open! i ripped out the mod chip and i still have the same problem! when i start my ps2 the screen is just black and the eject light wont even come on!

Any ideas?

you may of damaged the ribbon cables if you have you need to get noew ones go to www.cosoleplus.co.uk for uk and if us you may have to go to www.modchip.com

sounds like you blew a fuse
i had the exact same problem with a friends' machine (black screen, eject light not turning on)
i suggest you get a multimeter and check all the fuses.....they are supposed to read between 0-0.3 ohms (except for the fan one) anything else is a blown fuse.

i havent checked yet but i will! do u know where i can buy these fuses from?

sorry, i don't know of places that sell those fuses
contact this guy: http://www.richspsxparts.com/psx2used.html he might have old mainboards laying around from where he can get you a fuse.

Liksang.com sell every kind of PS2 fuse imaginable. If you're in the UK, a Tandy/Radioshack store may be quite helpful...
