Jedi Academy image with A120%

Hey all,

I am trying to make an image of Jedi Acadmey using Alcohol 120% version 1.4.6 build 711, no success .

I have tried 3 times using defaults for Safedisc2, Securom *NEW, and Securom *NEW (V4.x).

After installing from the image, I can startup and play multiplayer, but not single player. When I start single player, I get the start screen, I choose single player, then nothing happens.

Has anyone out there created a success full image of this game with A120%? If so, what settings did you use?

Thanks for your help

Are u using the just released UK Version?

I'm working on it now & may get the same problems - I've IDed it as safedisc 2.51 so you should be able to do it through alcohol with a low read speed.

Let you know in an hour or so - just make sure you're read/writing at real low speeds & not running other CPU intensive progs in the background.
Best advice I can give at the mo - but must admit I'm no expert & at bit of a newbie on these things.

Let me know how you get on & I'll try here.

non-fic.

(MESSAGE TO MODS - do you want us to continue this as pm's this as i notice you have a sticky up there? but it doesn't cover cloning, only nocd's)

Just keep it going on the mainboard, the info can be used by others then. By the way, are you sure that the game has that protection on it?

I think the UK version does - I'm getting a ton of read errors. What did you think it had? I know the old jedi outcast game just had cd checks

I assumed it would be cd checks too, but its strange that they settled on safedisc v2.51, considering thats pretty old now. Perhaps it doesnt mess with cd drives as much as the new versions of safedisc do.

2.51 suggests to me that you're using an old version of ClonyXXL. Try cdkiller's ProtectionId util for a REAL id :D

Yeah - I guess it is old by now.

I'll get that thanks Rince.

In the Meantime, my new copy came out ok - though it took a while. CD 2 doesn't seem to have any protection on it other than cd checks.

And my new copy installs & runs just fine -

Now for Tron!!!
Just bought that today as well - That seems to have a new ver (and no doubt a complete bitch to 1:1) of secureROM on it but I'll try that new scanner you suggested.

Hey,
I believe I am using the USA version, not sure how do I tell?

If I have the USA version, can I download a UK version from the A120 site if I am a subscriber?

non-fiction - what read speed for safedisc did you go with?

I didn't have any troubles making images of tron 2.0 with the new securom (4v.x) at a read speed of 4.0

its safedisc 2.9 confirmed with latest clony tricky to copy
often dependant on your writer and the drive you play it back on.
i have copied fine using blindwrite and my liteon4812w5 drive.

Yeah, the german and other european versions have this protection. The UK and US-versions have the latest Securom.
Cloneable with the plextor premium and blindwrite without any problems.

uh-uh Black Diamond is right, Jedi Academy UK not euro store version (released 19th sept) has safedisk 2.9 and should be easily copied by alcohol120 at 4X read
