question about .dat files and .afs
 

is there a guide that tells you how to take .dat files .afs files and other files and make them into a readable image file.

i have a dvd backup of soul caliber 2 but it does not work, so when i went to look at the files on the computer i realized that there was no image, but a number of files ( PAD_0,PAD_1, FLSTD ect) - is there a way that i can recombine these files into an image file ( a .gi image ).

i read that the dvd has to be licensed first - is there a guide for that.

any information or direction would be very helpful,
