Dvdr Rips
 

Hey, I was just wondering if, with the swap magic disc, dvdr rips onto cdr work? If dvdr rips work do they have to be under a certain size? And if swap magic dont work will a gameshark or action replay work? I have a v.4 ps2 with a no solder mod if that matters...

most rips won't work with swap magic2 discs
most rips will work with a GS2/AR2 on a v4 with no solder

Im not too sure about the Swap magic discs cause Ive never liked them. But with at least a no solder the answer isnt:

With a no solder it uses the TOC of the GS/AR2 disc you are using to boot up the cd game. So if your GS/AR2 disc has a larger TOC then you will be able to boot larger sized rips. But most likely none of them will be over 630mb. Since most rips out there are 703mb and under then you wont be able to boot them.

You're probably right, can't believe I was thinking about the neokey when I read this, oh well........ s.h.i.t happens.

As with my reply on the swap magic thread.

Swap magic 3 are due out anytime now and they will be able to boot the problem games such as dvd rips when used with the no solder chip option.
