a quick question!
 

no-one in my area does the messiah 2, so ill have to settle for a magic 3. i have herd rumours that it will stop DVD 9 games working, i mainly want it for xenosaga.

i dont care if the copy wont work but will the chip stop the origional from booting?

If they can install a magic 3 then they can install a messiah 2. Pretty much all the same points. Just get them some install diagrams and they should be all set.

But the thing is they will only do the magic 3, thats the problem, i live in a very small town.

will it be able to play the origional xenosaga?

Yeah the original Xenosaga (if native to your ps2) will play fine. Now if you have a NTSC ps2 and wanna play the NTSC-JAP version you may have a bit of a harder time doing so.

Magic 3 wont play Xenosaga, but Magic 3.1 will.

Im getting a PAL version 7 ps2, with i think a magic 3.0. So i should be able to play the PAL version og xenosaga?

If you're in the UK I know where you can get a Pre-chipped v7 with Messiah2 that will play anything - anything. Including Xenosaga from any country including DVD9 backups of Xenosaga.
