Supercar street challenge
I have not been able to backup my Supercar Street Challenge.
The game starts and even lets me choose a car and track but when I start a race I get a message to insert a PS2 format(ed) disk. I am using a flip top cover with swap magic 2 boot disks. They work great on everything else I have. Any suggestions appreciated. |
Sounds like a v7 protected game. You are SOL unless you get a new mod.

Not to disagree with Bighap, but this is a OLD game.....(October 23 2001)
I wouldnt think that it would be V7 protected considering that its fairly old... (But who knows... I may be wrong :) ) Its a cd based game so I would try better media...... Also, what program are you using to back it up with? |
Didn't know this game was that old. In that case, it won't be protected. Thanks for the info buddy:)

Followup
I have burned this 3 times so far, once on Verbatim CDR80, once on Memorex CDR80 and once on TDK CDR80. I have only used Alchohol120 set to PS2 to make the backups. I'm goint to try using Nero 6 tonight. I burnt at 8 speed with Alcholol but I'll try 1 or 2 speed with Nero.
I have tried the cdr loader version 7 and 7b (new beta). The 7b gets me just a bit further before it freezes up. I don't have a mod chip, just the flip-top cover and the swap magic dics (ver 2). Honestly this is the only game which has given me any trouble. Once again thanks to all who have responded and I look forward to more. |
u could try useing clone cd it might work with that program

It sounds to me like a Double TOC Check game. With the flip top, your screwed.
Hope this helps... LUFCfan :D |
