No CD Patch for *The Thing* in german!

I need a No CD Patch for the Game *Das Ding aus einer anderen Welt* *The Thing* in german,because my CD don't work on my PC!! Can anybody help?? I found also the engl. Patch but i need the german Patch.

? Your cd doesn't work on your PC? How did you install?

I had to do a manual setup because on my machine the autorun function did not work (although it's not disabled). After the installation when I double click on the game icon the hour glass appears for some seconds but the game doesn't launch. The only effect is that the CD ROM drive freezes and I have to shut down the computer.

The same happened with Alien Predator 2 and Primal Hunt (all original CDs). With those games I could solve the problem by using the NoCD patches.

I'm running Win2000 on 1.3 Mhz, 64MB Geforce MX.

What is your DVD/CD-Rom drive you use ?
It seems it has problems with Securom New protected games...

I use a Samsung DVD ROM SD-616T and the Yamaha CRW-F1.
On both Rom Drives the Game (original CD) don't work!
With Quake 3,Undying and Sinistar I have no Problems!!!:confused:

These three games all not protected with Securom New.
So i think it's time for a new DVD/CD-Rom....
...but check before your original cds (The Thing / Alien vs. Predator 2) at a friends pc.

My suggestion is two, buy a new CD/dvd-rom.
Reinstall Windows or what os you use, and update it!

The game you have problem with is SecuROM 4.x protected. SafeDisc might have a problem with your system or you using a backup CD.

SecuROM 4.8x CANNOT BE MADE 1:1 so it's might that problem or if you using your original CD. Contact local techsupport for your game!
