- splinter cell is not a dvd9 game
- "fail to read" do u mean the ps2 does not even read it as a ps2 game disc?
these websites have great instructions on backing up games:

yeah its weird i made and image using alcohol 120% and bured it and when i put the game in it just keeps spinning and spinning and spinning on the browser it says reading disc and thats all it does nothing more nothing less i used to always make my backups using nero but my nero doesnt seem to work for some reason, and recordnowmax wont let me select my dvd burner as the drive i want to burn with....only my cd burner

i hope its not my media i used imation first (thats kinda suspect) but then i backed it up again on a sony dvd shouldnt they be good enough because my memorex and maxell backups work

- if you have used the same media for other games and they work then it's no the media
- try using another burning program like dvddecrypter (seems to work for me)
- what is your dvd-rw/dvd+rw drive, maybe someone else got it to work with recordnow max

i used recordnow max and it worked fine only problems i have is the protraction it has which there not many ways around that

i thought it was my media but in fact it was the program i was using...alchol120 isnt the best for makin copies i downloaded a new version of nero and worked perfectly....i only wasted 3 dvd's not bad huh lol

thanks
