Converted WE7 to DVDR

I wanted WE7 to boot faster and more quiet. So I decided to convert the CD copy of WE7 to DVDR. Here is the step I have done.

01- open isobuster and extract all files to one folder C:\Game\WE7
02- using isobuster, create a LBA FileList.txt onto C:\Game
03- open Sony CD/DVD Generator 1.20 and create a new DVD project
04- Drag and drop all game files/folders in C:\Game\WE7 to Generator
05- in Volume tab, I fill in Disc Name: SLPM 62356
06- save wedvd.czz file to C:\Game
07- open wedvd.czz and FileList.txt in CD/DVD Generator Helper v2.0 and set Game Path to C:\Game\WE7
08- click on the start button and let Helper to finish it's job
09- reopen wedvd.czz with Sony CD/DVD Generator
10- Click on [Rec... ] and ignore any error message
11- Export lmi file and image to C:\Game
12- rename .000 file to .iso
13- brun the image with RecordNow Max

I put the burned DVDR disc to PS2. It shows the PS2 logo... then stay at the black screen.

I also tried to use lmi2iso to convert the lmi image to iso then burn but same result.

I heard that you may have to change the CD check to DVD check. Does anyone know how to do so and can give a very detail guild of that.

TIA

very interesting many people have tried to convert cd games to dvd and failed

can u check this method with a few other games
if it works consider rewriting your tutorial making it as fool proof as possible as most will struggle to follow first one

In deed. I am fooling around with IDA Pro now. I still need some pointer to point me to the right direction.
