no cd crack
 

Hi i,m new here and was wondering if anybody has got instructions/link about how to make a no cd crack & what progs i need to do it.I have made workable copies of all new games with securom v4 or the newest safedisc protection(splinter cell,sof 2,tombraider 6 etc)without a patch/crack.Now i,m just nosy about cracking ;) thx

its more difficult than you might image...

yup, a lot of people seem to think cracking is simple.. it is far far from simple, and safedisc and securom are definately not cracker newbie material to be playing with

Start with some simple cd-checks and then move on to more advanced schemes...read older tutorials and see if you understand them...yep, it's a boring thing, but it helps you in the end.

Get the necessary "tools" and practice, practice, practice...expect lots of crasches, reboots etc.

i wonder why every newbie wants to start with safedisc / securom
and they never cracked cd-checks before...

google is your friends in finding 'cracking tutorials' for older games with cd-checks.

learn asm and the win32apis,
get the tools like Softice / IDA / Win32Dasm / HView...

btw, the first game i cracked was Sin (released 1998) ;)
i found a nice tutorial and wanted to try it out... and it worked.

Of course everbody wants to get on with latest schemes and crack them. However, I don't see the point of *even* trying if you don't understand the protection and how it works...if you try with some older version of safedisc and later move on to newer (sd 2.xxx.xxx) you most certainly will recognize a lot of familiar stuff.

coz every week another thread about
'how to make my own cracks' will appears.

than we don´t need to post all the same over again ;)
