Neverwinter SoU backup?!
 

Have anyone succeded with an perfect backup of this game?

It's procted with SecuROM 4.84.84 (a very high securom).

I'm using a no-cd crack now..but when some new patch is out..I wanna emulate the game. In worse case I must use my original CD, but I want to emulate.

I've tested to backup with Alcohol 120% (latest version) with SecuROM settings, "NEW 4.x" but yeah it's doing an image, and I mount it. But when I hit the play. The game won't start. No error message nothing. It's tries to start but I won't.

I also tried to backup with Blindwrite (latest version).

So my question is, have any one succeded with an backup with that high secuROM? :confused:

Yes, I did, I used Vluka's FAQ on newest SecuROM and I used his COMPLICATED way, with converting files, reading slow, and its not 1:1, its a WORKING copy, TwinPeaked :D .

My copy works 100%!

I have read the v-lukas guide...today...hehe...never thought SecuROM was so complicated...and it says...to...it will not do a 1:1 copy... :confused: never thought copy protection have beeing so hard....any way good that SafeDisc versions is the hehe...easiest thing to backup with.... anyway to the topic......

What setting did you use....I use the Alcohol 120% (latest) with the setting..yeah you know... what program...what setting...you said something about converting... converting.. the image...OR the phsycical layer? you know..blindwrite have and alcohol 120% some extra program that calculating...layer or something...
If you rember how you did I am realy thank full if you can give some instructions.. :D

OPERATOR (Moderators)... why don't you/they create a CD-ROM backup fourm... (you just have DVD right now) then... move this topic thread there.... becuase... this is VERY not so boarder rules thing... :rolleyes: my "appollo" thing..:p
but still there should be a CD-ROM backup forum.... I would write it in the suggestion box..

And this one well did do a noughty thing.....click here (Everyone complaning of his text...that's is stolen...I've read it to somewhere...seams very familier with v-lukas guide..

And yes..I've read the vlukas guide..I even got it downloaded. I've read it severals of times. Oh dear hard for me to explain but any way. It's take severals of hours to do with the BWA builder and seams very complicated just to get a working image...but not 1:1, and the alcohol builder of something...dose do much faster...but don't work... and the blindwrite image don't work... so my question is. How exactly did you do it... I've read the vlukas guede but I don't realy...understand.. I understand alot.. but not..exactly, and you have nearly done a 1:1 copy...so please tell me exactly how :D. Thanks

There is another option to play NWN and NWN:SoU without CD and without using any cracks and fiddle around with (non-)working copies:
Use Linux! Since v1.29 final, NWN runs fine under Linux. Graphics faster and smoother, fast switching between working desktop and fullscreen game, ...
