dvd9 problems
 

im in a Messiah2 mod.. didnt do it myself tho.. but, i bought Xenosaga and MSG Substance, and they dont work! they dont boot directly. When i try to boot them up, they go past the initial loading thing and goes to the main window where you could access browser and the options. then, after a few seconds, it sez that it isnt a valid ps2 disc.. blah blah..

i gave my ps2 in for lens cleaning. but still wont work. my ps2 model is:

scph-30000 ... V4, bios 030... the person who modded my ps2 told me that our model and bios was the cause and that me and another person has the same problem, and the same model and same bios. IN the other ps2s of other people that he modded, dvd9s work fine. They have different models, but not the same as ours . the dvd9s dont work =( argh... Messiah2 SHOULD load up dvd9s right? argh... could anyone help me? ^_^ thanks in advance..

are you sure you have a real messiah 2 or you just think you hvae a real messiah 2

if u got a game shark 2 load the gs2 then start w/o codes then put in ur dvd9 games they should load then i think this will also work with ar2

You either odn't have a real Messiah 2 or your laser can't handle dvd9. Try disabling your chip, this will show if it a prob with your laser or your "Messiah2".

he reconverted Magic 3 chip, and still... it wont play the dvd9. He even replaced the laser, and still... it still wont play the dvd9. We already tried the AR loader and stuff... but still.... arugh! he's been modding ever since but, im the only ps2 he cant fix with dvd9 problems!! argh! im the only one with dvd9 problems! wht d hell? i think its something with the bios? 03? or the model? or the procedure or diagram thing? anyone.. help.. we did everything.. they could play the dvd backups but, not the dvd9s....

Magic 3 doesn't support dvd9, 3.1 does though.

Could it be his that you have an old model?

Someone has to ask:

A DVD9 backup (pressed) or an Original game?

i mean, magic 3.1 ^_^ hehe.. sorry...
uhmm... its the pirated version... im the only person having this problem with both mods to play the dvd9 backups...

i have the SCPH-30000 with bios 03 something... aurgh... i'd really want to get this fixed.. argh.. i hope anyone of you guys could help me =)

1- ur laser might be passed its prime.

2- the quality of your disc is really crap.

3- and try the following and see if i works.

a) make sure your game is in machine
b) switch off machine. (ie by holding reset button)
c) tap reset button once to start ur machine.
