hi ever since i got my xbox i have neglected my ps2 but i wanna give that socom a try, can you go online with a chipped ps2 or, like the xbox, dose it ***k you off and say no

It f***s you off and says no. You must turn your mod off if you want to do this thanks to the DNAS protection, and how could you neglect PS2 for an XBoX. Geesh... :mad:

hey i got a ? about this can u go online with a no solder mod chip im just wondering this i got a apple chip installed so i could not play my socom back online if i wanted to ? and i got like 3 or 4 ps2 systems and i get no solders all the time so im thinking of trying this im in a lil bussiness of no solders and ps2 ;) enough said if u guys know could u reply this if not looks like i be the first to try this :)

No solder doesn't work either. Strangly enough, some people with the original Messiah can get past this protection for some reason.

then i may be looking into a messiah 1

Some users on ps2newz have reported getting past DNAS with the original messiah.

Even with original messiah, you still need your original disk and you can't paly online with back up and with messiah 2, dms3,.... you can play originals online by disabling the chip.
