ok i find the original dashboard!!!!
but the prib is tha when i start it it says that my xbox needs service. any sygestion? |
if it shows error code 13 it means there is a problem with the dashboard.
to fix. load evox via cd-rw or dvd once the evox dash loads establish a ftp connection and ftp the ms dash over to you'r xbox. make sure you name the dashboard correctley. xboxdash.xbe once done re-boot the xbox and you'r problem should be sorted. i did this to my uncles xbox 2 days ago. you can then load evox back to the hd if you choose. also for the games try the DATA BURN method. see sticky labled DATA BURN METHOD WITH SCREENSHOTS in the xbox section. for newer games patch the games default.xbe file using iso craxtion prior to the burn or if you can update the chip's bios to x2 4977 this has the media check bypass built in. |
just a quick question, [Chall] | Dante, what version of the msdash did you have? XBL or no?
i do not know what version i have. where can i see it?
well, if you installed xbl, look for a folder on C called "xboxdashdata.somenumbers". The somenumbers part should be the version (or what most people consider the dash version when testing). The only dashboard versions that I know of so far are 1012a700 and 10027100. If you do not have the xboxdashdata folder, then i can only assume you have not updated your dashboard with xbl. So it should still be the first version dashboard.
btw, if you have xbox live installed, you cannot use a dashboard from the first version (or any other xbox's I believe). |
i have version xboxdashdata.10027100
Then the dashboard on consolecopyworld will not work. I don't even think the new dashboards are compatable with eachother (so someone's xbl dash will not work with your xbox). The only way to fix everything, is to get a copy of the old dashboard (that comes with the xbox), put it on your xbox. Update it for xbl and re-enter your xbl account info if you have one (note: you need to have everything written exactly the same to recover your xbl account).
