Anybod try the new Flip Lid with Boot disks??
I was wondering what people think about the new fliplid with Boot cd. Does this work....Sounds easier then soldering 24 wires...
Thanks |
They are garbage. Everyone here will tell you the same thing. They suck. They might seem like a cheap easy way around modding your system, but they are crap. You can get a chip installed for $30 nowadays. Where you located?

I have a brand new PS2 39010/N
What chip do you recomend. I have dvd Burner Pioneer a05 |
Depends what you want to be able to do. If you just want to play your ps1/ps2 backups get a Messiah 2($45) or Apple Pro($20). If you want extra features such as macrovision free and mostly other pointless stuff, get a DMS3($60)
Look here for installers in your area. I you want to talk more, I am on AIM under FileForumsGod |
And honestly - if you're willing to crack open the system and replace the lid with some cheap piece of plastic, why not go the extra step and solder a few points? Seriously now...
I've always wondered about this. People are willing to use knives, fliptops, slide cards, or even open the machine ... But balk at getting real no-swap chips. WHY? - Gurm |
I've decided that I'm no longer going to be nice to people who insist on defending their choice of no-solder option.
I'm just going to use as many references as possible to feces until they get the damn picture. - Gurm |
Does this new attitude go with the new avatar?:D

Nah, I'm having a bad couple days and taking it out on the clueless. I'll get better eventually. ROFL.
'Course my OTHER avatar was "Ash" from "Army of Darkness", which is only MARGINALLY better. - Gurm |
