There are no public unwrappers for the later versions of Safedisk.
Have a look around Gamecopyworld for a crack, and/or read the sticky topic in PC Games forum 'Where to find cracks'

hey ghost have you herd anything about a new unwrapper being made..or any new burners being able to manage the new safedisk version?

IceBreaker 06-08-2003 15:41

2.8 -> 2.9

I'm not sure what the difference is between Safedisk versions 2.8 & 2.9 (If anyone could provide details...)

However if 2.9 is similar to 2.8, then any burner capable of reading lead-in of a CD - and thus pregap - and having correct EFM modulation (cf. '2-sheep' burner) should be able defeat to this protection.

More blacklisted programs...to mention a -new- *cough* feature

IceBreaker 07-08-2003 16:58

A "cough" feature, say U? What the h*ll is that exactly ? ? ?

TippeX 07-08-2003 17:04

he means they added some new stuff to the wrapper, and 'enhanced' some of the existing code, along with more blacklisting too

IceBreaker 07-08-2003 17:22

wrap?

Excuse my lack of knowledge, I'm but a newbie in this matter, but WHAT IS A WRAPPER?

I've seen this term countless times & wanna know once N 4 all what it means, sacrebleu!

As for the existing code, does it only enhance its accuracy in verifying pregap & weak sectors & other safedisk crap, or does it have NEW features, eg. does safedisk 2.9 also check - like Securom - for special subchannel data or something ?

emptyeighty 08-08-2003 07:41

An 'unwrapper' is a tool that automatically removes copy protections such as Safedisc, SecuROM and so on.

LeerAchtzig,

Danke schön

TippeX 08-08-2003 18:10

the new code has some burner specific checks, but not any real enhancements just some blacklisting etc during the check itself..

as for the wrapper explaination, imagine the unprotected exe as a bar of chocolate, the protection is like a tiny wrapper placed around the chocolate to stop it melting and to stop kids stealing it i guess heh, thats probably the easiest way to explain it without going into the nitty gritty of the pe fileformat and what the protection actually changes

IceBreaker 08-08-2003 18:47

munch munch

Tippex,

thanks 4 the info, some sure have a "taste" for explanations :D :D
