Question on patches
If a game has an associated patch, is it required to play the game "full stop", or is the patch just required if you want to install it to the HD and play it from there.
Does this mean that the game can ONLY be played from the hard drive, or can I do something with the ISO and the patch, then burn the disk ? |
all new games require a patch but there are not individual patches for for games the best option is to use iso craxtion this will patch the default.xbe file in the game.
the game will not work at all unless you patch it or are running the newest bios's on you'r mod chip |
cheers dude,
so, would it be possible to convert the iso into a file structure on my pc, patch this file as you say, then re-convert it to an iso again, and burn the disk ? I know I can convert files to ISO's, but I have no idea about the other way round...is it even possible to do that ? |
you can use XISO or ISOCRAXTION to extract the data from the iso once done use the patcher included in isocraxtion to patch the default.xbe file then use either tool to create a new iso. i would however recomend against this i wuold recomend you burn the game using the DATA BURN METHOD. the game should play ok now. also you could just update your bios to say x2 4977 that's if your chip can be updated.
p.s if you have the games you'r self you dont need to extract the iso just transfere the game data from the xbox to the pc then patch. |
