What means: "bypass efm error"

I just would like to know what this means when it's checked by burning in Alcohol 120 %? Is this any type of emulation?

Thx for the answare in advance!

Efm means eight to fourteen modulation. It is a pattern of safedisc2 protection. If your writer is capable of doing sd2 backups this should be disabled. If your writer isn't, ......right, check it.

My writer is capable of doing sd2 backups, but I have lite-on and as u know the problem starts with sd 2.9 protection, so I have to check efm to get a working copy, but after all I'm not sure when I'll check it if so burned cd will work for example on an OS without alcohol installed..., so the question is if this is compared to original cd same and will work also by installation of patches and on other comps without any other programs needed to be installed...

Thx again for an answer!

If the your burned backup is working without any emulation (in Alcohol) it is very likely that the backup will run on every os, pc, etc....., without alcohol installed....
