What is FADE!

What is the FADE Protection, and how does it work
and how to detect it?

Monty Burns 25-07-2003 02:16

Fade protection claims to identify a copied orginal and then starts to influence the gameplay until the game isn't playable anymore.
It can be easily identified at the start of the game, where a fade logo appears "Original games do not fade".

Thanks for your help, Bu ive heard that some Secuom 4.x.x.x
Have fade as well as the Securom 4.x.x.x + Fade, is this true

gh0sth@cker 25-07-2003 04:25

It is not true...however,
New Securom games will have Securom + Triggers which functions in a different way than FADE but will have similar consequences.
When cracking the game, all triggers must be removed or else, when the game is played, the game may function incorrectly in accordance to the triggers.

FADE will usually be activated when an invalid serial number is detected.
