Formatting Mem Card

Hi i have the official 8 meg sony card. Is there anyway other than AR2 to format it? I dont want to buy AR2 just to format the darn thing. Heres my problem

My memory card is full, when i try to delete some files through the browser itll crash when trying to load the pictures for the saves I have.

Unforunately I dont know which is the bad save. Does anyone know a game where you can delete saves from other games too?

I also been wanting to know how the hell you format a 8mb memory card without a GS2. The only time I can remember I got an option to format my card was the first time I put in the ps2. If there isn't a way then I guess sony messed up on this one.

Try deleting the system save.

When u put in an unformatted ps2 mem card without putting a disk in and go to browser screen it will offer u the option of formatting the ps2 mem card. Have never had to use ar2 to format, it's built in to the ps2.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

( And try reading yr ps2 manual!! LOL!)

Yes, when you have an unformatted card you do get an option to format it, even most games do too, however if you want to format a currupted card or just format an already formatted card (maybe causing problems or for whatever reason) the ps2 does not offer that option.

(I have read the manual)
