Post bios flash
 

I was finally able to get the cromwell 1.8 bios flashed with x2 4977. Everything seemed to have gone well and it ejected and shutdown after it was done. When I powered it back up, the normal xbox logo came up, but it said xecuter2 on the bottom instead of microsoft. So my question is, did it work??? I heard that if the flashing was done correctly than the dvd tray would eject when you power it up. And if the bios didn't work is there a way of reflashing it????

Ya its working.
And yes the DVD tray will come out on power up, but only if you puch the eject buttion to power the XBox on.
It won't if you just use the power buttion.

How would I test it? Can I just put a DVD movie in and it would magically work?

You should magically find a media player.

So how do I know it is working????

Where can I get a media player for the xbox? and once I get that just install and put in a music cdr and it will work?

If you want to make sure its working put EvoX on a DVD and see if it boots it.

Does evox have to be on a DVD? I don't have a DVD burner. Can it just be on a CDR-W?

ya it can be on a cd rw/ YOUR xbox compatible cdr (i reccomend cd rw)
