copying xmen 2

I have 6 or so games I have backed up using Nero with Verbatim DVD+r media. All are working just fine in my Version 7 with Messiah 2. I am having problems backing up my "Xmen 2 - wolverine's revenge" game, so far I have made 3 coasters. I don't know what I am doing wrong. The protection according to the database is safedisc 2.80.290 I have just been using the copy DVD feature of Nero
Has anyone made a successfull backup of this game and can you share some tips?

i have with no probs, get rid of nero and use primo or recordnow max

DVD games do not use safedisc. Use RecordNow Max and all will be fine. you can download a 30 day trial here

Thanks for your help, just one more question. I already have downloaded the trial for Alcohol 120%, should this work or will I be better off with what you suggested.

Well I made another coaster, this time with record now max. I followed the instructions for backing up a PS2 game with record now max in this formum. The image was made then recorded, all seemed to be going fine until the verifying part, I got this error

Image job untitled Terminated with errors Error - 10 at sector 16 - Command:28 sense:03 ASC:15 ASCQ:00

Could this original game be too scratched to copy?

The verify stage isn't important. You can just cancel it. Mentioning the game is scratched up would have helped. Either get a dvd repairer if it isn't too deeply scratched or just find a different original.

if you own the game and your cpopy is scratched up, its still legal to rent it and copy that (if you OWN the original, right)?

It sure is.:)

Thanks for your help guys, I actually bought this from our local video store during a pre-played sale. I took it back and exchanged it and all worked fine then
